How To Apply
The basic qualifications required of all applicants are:
1. B.A. Degree or equivalent
2. Valid Passport
3. Sealed original transcript
4. Criminal Background Check with Apostille
Additional qualifications that would help your application:
1. Pertinent Major: Education, English or TOESL
2. Master's Degree
3. Additional ESL certification RSA, TOESL
4. Experience teaching (children/foreign country)
5. Creativity
The entire application process can take 6 to 8 weeks depending on one's country of origin. Recently, the Korean immigration laws have changed and require all teachers to have a notarized criminal background check included with their documents in order to receive an E2 visa. Also, the law requires teachers to have a blood test done once they have arrived in Korea to check for drugs or diseases in the teachers' systems. In order to receive your Alien Registration Card, your test results must come back clear. If your test results are positive for drugs or a disease, you will be deported, no contest, at your own expense.
