Can I travel after my contract is done?
Of course, however, it would be to your advantage to plan ahead and only reserve a one-way ticket to Korea as they are only good for one year and if you travel elsewhere you would forfeit the return. You'll need to speak with Human Resources to arrange this flight schedule before you arrive in Korea.

What should I bring for bedding and toiletries?
Fitted sheets are rare in Korea. Bedding, pillows and blankets are provided but if you prefer fitted sheets you should bring them to fit a super single sized bed. If you have favorite product items, you may want to bring them initially. Many of the products you use are available here; it may just take some time to find a store that sells them.

Is there anyone I can contact as a reference?
Yes. During the application process we will provide you with both past and present references.

Is there a large foreigner community in Korea?
This depends of where you live; nonetheless the foreign population is growing. The phenomenon of teaching English in Korea has brought foreigners to all parts of the country. For the most part they tend to establish small communities in each location.

Is recreation different?
Just about everything you do at home you can do in Korea. Whatever your interests, you should be able to find the fun.

Are there bookstores that sell English books?
Yes, but the selection is unpredictable in some stores. Bestsellers are usually easy to find and the book selection usually gets bigger every year. Many teachers bring books or order from online booksellers.

Will the language barrier hinder my ability to get around?
We have a terrific Korean staff that is willing to help at the doctor's office and just about anywhere you need assistance. Teachers also have the opportunity to take Korean language lessons to assist in getting around. You'll find it very easy to pick up the language to get from place to place and get what you need when you get there.

How much will I be able to save?
You should be able to save at least half of your income easily while still entertaining yourself and eating out on a regular basis. However, the exact amount translated into foreign currency will depend upon the current exchange rate with your home country.

What will my expenses cost?
Basically for your cable, telephone (no long distance), electric, water and sewage, and gas the total should be roughly 70,000 won per month. This figure is also subject to individual frugality or extravagance.

Are all Ding Ding Dang schools all the same?
Ding Ding Dang schools all share a curriculum, contract, philosophy, training centers and commitment to teaching. Nevertheless, there will of course be some small inconsistencies at each individual Ding Ding Dang. However, all schools still fall within the specifications and framework of the contract.

Is Korea dangerous?
Similar precautions must be taken in Korea as one would take in their own home country. However, the crime rate in Korea is definitely lower than most other advanced nations.
